Aziza Poggi is an award-winning, classically trained mezzo-soprano and dynamic crossover artist known for her magnetic presence and extraordinary versatility. Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Aziza seamlessly blends genres—from opera and musical theatre to rock, pop, and contemporary music—delivering memorable performances with her rich voice and expressive artistry.

Aziza is a sought-after performer for concerts, symphonies, fundraisers, recording projects, corporate galas, and special events. She has performed as a soloist and choral member with the West Michigan Opera Project in productions such as Carmen and Remembering Puccini, and has sold out multiple classical recitals at St. Cecilia Music Center. In April 2025, she took the stage at Carnegie Hall to wide acclaim with the West Michigan Opera Project, singing Carmen’s part in the Toreador Song from Carmen, and performing in the ensemble for Nessun Dorma from Turandot and The Flower Duet from Lakmé. A decorated competitor, Aziza recently earned First Prize (Gold) in the Erik Satie International Music Competition, Third Place in the International Schubert Competition Vienna, and received honors in both the Bach International and Classical Music Stars competitions.

Aziza has also toured internationally with her symphonic rock band, Aria Flame, gracing prestigious European music festivals like Metal Female Voices Fest and Femme Festival. In June 2025, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Music Studies from Berklee College of Music. She continues to train with master opera coach Nicholas Loren and operates a private voice studio in Grand Rapids, where she mentors the next generation of vocal talent.
